The W.M Keck Science Department of Pitzer and Scripps Colleges (two of the five undergraduate Claremont Colleges) in Southern California, seeks to hire a full time, visiting assistant professor in biology for the Fall 2023-Spring 2024 academic year (beginning August 2023). This position is a full-time one-year appointment with the potential for renewal. Teaching responsibilities include a cellular/molecular introductory biology class with lab and an upper division lecture/lab course in their area of expertise. We are particularly interested in faculty with a background in Developmental Biology, Immunology, Endocrinology, or Molecular Ecology. Participation in research, particularly directing undergraduate research projects may be possible. A Ph.D. is required, and prior teaching experience is preferred.
The salary for this position will range from $72,000-$84,000 and will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
