University of St Andrews, Scotland: Postdoc, bivalve allorecognition

A 3-year Postdoctoral Researcher position is available to investigate allorecognition in bivalves and the evolution of transmissible cancers. The project will be based in Dr Carmel McDougall’s research group at the University of St Andrews (Scotland), collaborating with Dr Tim Regan (Roslin Institute). The primary duties will be to conduct tissue culture and in-vivo experiments in bivalve species to investigate recognition responses, to conduct bioinformatic analyses to evaluate changes in gene expression and identify candidate allorecognition genes, to analyse data, and to publish the results.

The start date will be between 15th May and 10th of August 2025.
