The Department of Biology and Environment provides undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral training in Biology. It strongly emphasizes field and organism-level research in ecology, evolution and systematics, but several members of the department focus on molecular studies. Along with independent research, the department encourages collaborative work across levels of biological organization, from molecules to ecosystems. The department is part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Haifa, and is located off the main campus, at the beautiful campus of Oranim College in Kiryat Tivon.
