Postdoc – GASP Lab & Xiphophorus Genetic Stock Center

We are seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher Associate to biomedically related questions from an Evolutionary Ecology framework using Xiphophorus and other live bearing fish species. The candidate should have field and laboratory. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with collaborators in behavior ecology, conservation physiology, and immunology. There are many opportunities to learn a range of research approaches. There is funding for one year with the potential for renewal for 1 plus years. Our lab celebrates and fosters inclusivity, creativity and diversity.

Responsibilities: The candidate will contribute to research perspective, field work, sample processing, data analysis and interpretation, review of relevant literature. The candidate will prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and give presentation at professional conferences. The candidate will work with the PI and other lab members on lab maintenance and oversight. The candidate should have interest in mentoring students in research and be willing to collaborate in submission of research proposals.
