Post-doctoral Researcher in Evolutionary Physiology

Posted on June 24, 2024
Expires: December 31, 2024

The Wilsterman Lab at Colorado State University (Fort Collins, CO, USA) is hiring a post-doctoral researcher position with applicant review starting immediately (July 1 2024). If this ad is still posted, the position is still open.

This post-doctoral researcher will work as part of our collaborative team on a 5-yr NIH award focused on understanding how local adaptation to high elevations protects reproductive dysfunction associated with low oxygen. We are particularly interested in the development of the placenta and identifying cell-type specific expression profiles that are hypoxia-sensitive within this ephemeral organ. The post-doctoral researcher will be involved in generating and analysing single-nuclei RNAseq and ATAC-seq data as well as supporting primary cell culture experiments.
The ideal candidate will have some bioinformatics experience and experience working with lab rodents, but all interested applicants should reach out to discuss the position with Dr. Wilsterman (kwilst@rams.colostate.edu). An informal job posting can also be found on our lab website at (http://www.thewilstermanlab.com/new-post-doc-position.html).
