The Garner Lab at Syracuse University is actively recruiting two Ph.D. students for a Fall 2022 start date. One Ph.D. student will focus on the functional morphology and biomechanics of anole/gecko attachment, while the other Ph.D. student will focus on the functional morphology and biomechanics of sea urchin attachment. Project details will be driven by student interests. Students will need to apply to SU Biology’s Ph.D. Graduate Program and, if accepted, will be supported via teaching assistantship (TA) for 4 years and a research assistantship (RA) for 1 year. Competitive departmental fellowships are also available that could extend the duration of the RA support. Tuition is paid in full, salary is competitive, and additional summer support for TAs is available. Priority application deadline for SU’s Biology Graduate Program is December 1st, 2021.
