A two-year MS graduate position (including tuition and summer salary) funded through NSF is available in the Biology Department at Youngstown State University to study the behavioral physiology of reproduction and care in the biparental burying beetles (Nicrophorus orbicollis). Prior work with insects, experience with molecular biology/qPCR or genomics/transcriptional analysis is especially desirable. The ideal candidate would have a strong academic background, some undergraduate research experience, and a strong interest in research that combines molecular, cellular and organismal level approaches.
