The School of Sciences at Indiana University Kokomo invites applications for a full time, 10-month, non-tenure-track position in biology at the lecturer level, beginning August 1, 2022. Information about the School can be found at: www.iuk.edu/sciences.
Responsibilities include teaching lower level biology classes (lectures and lab courses) primarily, such as Biology for non-majors, Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, and other 100-level and 200-level biology courses (lectures and labs) depending on qualifications. This is a non-tenure-track appointment. Course load will normally be four courses per semester (96% FTE). An appropriate level of university/professional/community service is also required (e.g. committee work, assessment, engagement in campus initiatives to increase retention and enrollment).
Requirements include an earned master’s degree or higher (MA, MS, MAT, or PhD) in biology, biological sciences, or a closely related field. Candidates are expected to have teaching experience (lecture or lab courses) at the undergraduate level.
