Graduate positions in parasite (and microbiome) ecology and evolution

Posted on November 8, 2022

The Weinstein Lab at Utah State University is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate student to join the lab in Fall 2023.  Research in the lab incorporates ecology, microbiology, parasitology and genomics to understand the distribution of infectious agents in ecosystems, host-pathogen dynamics in changing environments, and parasite-microbiome interactions.  Candidates with interest and/or experience in these areas, particularly those interested in studying parasite-microbiome interactions in vertebrate hosts, are encouraged to apply. Students will be funded through a combination of teaching and research assistantships. Before applying, interested applicants should review admission requirements for the Utah State University Department of Biology (https://www.usu.edu/biology/) and current research in the Weinstein Lab (www.sarabweinstein.com).  If interested, please contact Dr. Weinstein (Sara.Weinstein@usu.edu) by December 1st, 2022. In your email, please include your CV/resume and a brief cover letter outlining your research interests, experiences and reason for applying to this position.
