GENERAL INFORMATION
The Department of Biology at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in physiology to begin in August 2025. A successful candidate will contribute to teaching in our functional organismal biology introductory course (BIOL 162). We are particularly interested in candidates who can also teach an upper-division course (with lab) in comparative physiology. The candidate will be expected to establish a productive research program in their area of interest that is well-suited to undergraduate participation. The research area is open, but please note that facilities for research on vertebrate systems are extremely limited. Additional information

This position carries a 3-2 teaching load with a research leave prior to tenure review of either a full year at 80% salary or a semester at full salary, and generous sabbatical and fellowship leaves for tenured faculty. To enable a smooth transition to Holy Cross, new full-time tenure-track Assistant Professors receive start-up funding to support their research and professional development and have a one-course reduction in their first year of teaching (i.e., 2-2). QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must demonstrate excellence in scholarship and a commitment to effective undergraduate teaching in the context of a liberal arts college. A Ph.D. in a relevant field of biology is required at the beginning of the appointment.
