MS Research Assistantship at Hofstra University: Biology or Urban Ecology (New York, USA)

The Raciti Lab at Hofstra University is looking for a master’s student to assist with our environmental monitoring work.  Students in this position will take classes, conduct master’s research with a faculty member in Hofstra University’s Biology Department, and work part time as a laboratory technician in the Raciti lab.

In exchange for their part-time work, students will receive full tuition support and a summer stipend ($5k) each year. Note: There is no stipend during the academic year and students will need to provide for their own housing and living expenses.  The environmental monitoring work will require driving to field sites across Long Island, NY and working outside a few days per month throughout the year. Candidates would ideally start this summer (around June 15, 2024), so they can learn how to conduct the field and laboratory work required for the position.

Interested students can reach out to Dr. Steve Raciti: steve.m.raciti@hofstra.edu
