New College of Florida invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-track position in Neurobiology starting in August 2024. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence in teaching and research at the undergraduate level. This individual will have access to research facilities, including those in the Heiser Natural Science Building. Our area has many opportunities for research collaborations, for example, with the Roskamp Institute.
The successful candidate is expected to contribute to course offerings that range from introductory to advanced and include neurobiology, the general biology introductory series, and other topics in the candidate’s areas of expertise such as ethology, evolutionary neuroscience, electrophysiology, and neuroethics. In addition to two courses per semester, the successful candidate will supervise undergraduate research and honors theses and sponsor small student-centered tutorials.

Qualifications
We seek a broadly trained candidate with a Ph.D. in neurobiology or a related field and ideally postdoctoral research and/or previous teaching experience.
