The Stahlschmidt Lab is seeking a Master’s student beginning Fall 2024 in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of the Pacific. The responsible and motivated student will develop an independent M.S. thesis project related to environmental change biology with an emphasis on the behavioral or physiological ecology of insects. The student will be supported by a teaching assistantship ($16k per year + full tuition waiver + health insurance) with the potential for additional summer funding. The M.S. student will have the opportunity for training in flow-through respirometry, microdissections, biochemical assays, assessing gut microbiome, and environmental manipulations in the field and lab.
