Colgate University: Assistant professor position in ecology or conservation biology

The Department of Biology at Colgate University invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in ecology or conservation biology, beginning fall semester 2023. The successful candidate will join a biology faculty committed to innovative teaching in the liberal arts setting and involvement of students in research. The individual hired will teach Conservation Biology, the lecture and laboratory components of a team-taught foundations course called Evolution, Ecology, and Diversity, and an elective course in their area of expertise. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum, by teaching a general education course on a topic of their choice.

Completion of PhD prior to or shortly after the date of hire is required, and teaching experience (either as teaching assistant or as instructor of record) is desirable.
