The Year 2004 Annual Meeting for the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology (SICB) is an educational and research forum for investigations of biology on a broad comparative scale. The meet-ing will include many symposia, workshops and special programs in addition to hundreds of contributed papers in divisional and topical sessions. Watch this web site for Schedule of Events updates and the posting of abstracts in October, 2003.

Poster Presentations
Poster sessions, with authors available for questions and answers, will take place from 3:00-5:30 pm. Posters will be available for viewing without the authors present for a longer (yet to be determined) amount of time.
Special Tour
Honey Island Swamp Tour — Friday, January 9, Noon-4 pm — $40 per person Enjoy a tour of Honey Island Swamp organized by Dr. Paul Wagner, owner and chief guide, a Ph.D. in wetland ecology who has been conducting natural history swamp tours since 1982. This tour consists of a professionally-narrated boat tour with friendly, knowledgeable guides native to South Louisiana. It includes many opportunities for nature photography and wildlife observation and is a non-commercialized explanation of Louisiana Swamp ecology and natural history. Smaller-sized boats allow access deep into the swamp interior and shallow backwater areas. Resident and migratory wildlife include alligators, bald eagles, waterfowl, herons, egrets, ibis, owls, osprey, deer, black bear, feral hogs, nutria, raccoon, otter, beaver, mink, turtles, frogs. Cost includes bus transportation from the Marriott to the site and back and an approximately 1 hour 45 minute tour of the swamp. Go to www.honeyislandswamp.com for more information.
