Deadline: October 24

[Please also visit the Broadening Participation Committee page]

Broadening Participation Professional Development Travel Awards are intended
to allow students, post-docs, and faculty members from a variety of
underrepresented groups to attend the SICB annual meeting, by helping to
defray the costs of travel, lodging, and registration. The goal of the BP
committee is to increase the diversity of SICB and the field of integrative
biology at all career stages, in terms of gender, sexual orientation,
race/ethnicity, ability/disability, and socioeconomic background.

Broadening Participation Professional Development Travel Awards for the
SICB annual meeting are partially funded by a generous donation from the Gans
Collections and Charitable Fund Inc., a foundation established by renowned
vertebrate morphologist and functional anatomist Carl Gans. To learn more
about the foundation and additional opportunities for conference travel
grants, please visit http://carlgans.org.

The application form is now online here. Deadline is October 24.
