Broadening Participation Professional Development Travel Awards are intended to support students, post-docs, and faculty members to attend the SICB annual meeting, by helping to defray the costs of travel, lodging, and registration. The goal of the BP committee is to increase representation in SICB and the field of integrative biology fostering inclusive involvement and supporting individuals at all career stages.

Broadening Participation Professional Development Travel Awards for the SICB annual meeting are partially funded by a generous donation from the Gans Collections and Charitable Fund Inc., a foundation established by renowned vertebrate morphologist and functional anatomist Carl Gans.
