The Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine in New Orleans is seeking two academic faculty members at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor on the non-tenure track who will contribute to the departmental mission in a team teaching oriented environment.
Interested applicants must have the ability to immediately instruct in Gross Anatomy. Expertise in Neuroanatomy is preferred. The ability to instruct in Embryology or Histology could also be helpful. Candidates must display a willingness to be mentored in and teach in the area of Gross Anatomy to all levels of health professional students. Candidates with experience in cadaveric dissection in a health science center environment will be given prioritized consideration. Teaching duties may be assigned within the multiple health professional schools of the LSU Health Sciences Center (Medicine, Dentistry, Allied Health, Nursing and Graduate). Successful candidates will also be expected to participate in scholarly research, preferably but not restricted to educational research.
