Division Information
About DEDE:
The goal of the Division of Ecoimmunology and Disease Ecology (DEDE) is to facilitate communication, collaboration, research, and data sharing among eco-immunologists and disease ecologists. We do this by co-sponsoring several symposia each year and sharing opportunities via the division’s Twitter page (@SICB_DEDE). The division also promotes mentoring and training of students and early career investigators, through mentoring programs including a mentor-mentee meet and greet carried out during the meeting, as well as through various awards for student presentations.

Awards
The Robert Lochmiller Award is for an early career investigator for distinguished contributions to the fields of ecological immunology and disease ecology. The award is for people who have received their doctorates within the last 10 years at time of application.
In their research statement (<500 words), applicants should highlight how their work has contributed to the overall fields of ecoimmunology and/or disease ecology in recent years, as well as their potential for mentoring new and diverse scientists in these fields.
In addition to the research statement, applicants should submit their CV and two reprints of their strongest work. These materials should be submitted using the form provided in the DEDE Fall newsletter. Applicants should also arrange for two letters of recommendation to be sent separately to dpo.dede@sicb.org.
Deadline: December 1, 2022
