The laboratories of Drs. Jean-Michel Mongeau and Bo Cheng at Penn State University are seeking to hire a part-time technician for a project to develop new instrumentation to study animal and robot flight. This position would be ideal for a post-bac student seeking research experience in instrumentation development for quantitative analysis of flight and in preparation for graduate school.

Job Duties:
- Design, assemble and install custom hardware to study insect, bird and robot locomotion
- Code and adapt software in Python to install a real-time 3D tracking system using multiple high-speed cameras
Requirements & Qualifications:
- B.S. or higher in engineering, computer science or physics preferred
- Knowledge of Unix and programming in Python preferred
