The Department of Biology at Dickinson College invites applications for a tenure-track position in integrative organismal biology/neurobiology at the assistant professor level beginning in the fall semester 2022, pending funding approval. Applicants should have completed a Ph.D., with postdoctoral training preferred, and exhibit a strong commitment to teaching, student/faculty research, and service in an undergraduate liberal arts environment. The teaching load is five course equivalents per academic year and teaching responsibilities include introductory and intermediate courses in organisms, populations and ecosystems, and advanced courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. This position will also contribute to our interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program.
Dickinson College is a highly selective four-year, independent liberal arts college with approximately 2,300 students. It is located in historic Carlisle, Pennsylvania, which is 20 miles west of Harrisburg and a two-hour drive from Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia.
