Marshall McCue is a comparative physiologist who has measured the metabolic rates of a wide range of animals including grasshoppers and praying mantises, lizards and pit vipers, quail and finches, mice and rats, as well as humans. After seven years as a professor McCue joined Sable Systems International (the long-time sponsor of the George Bartholomew Award) where he continues to develop new ways to combine respirometry with stable isotope analyses for research and education.
